Tomy PLARail

Plarail is a line of Plastic Battery-Powered Toy Trains produced by Japanese Company Takara Tomy, released in 1959, these trains run on iconic blue track and feature hundreds of trains from across Japan, from Steam to Electric Commuter trains and the famous Shinkansen, better known as the Bullet Train.

Tomy also released several Thomas and Frietlds characters in Plarail, which for a time were sold in Australia as "Motor Road and Rail", this was later spun off by Fisher Price and became the Trackmaster range, which ran on more detailed beige track, whilst Tomy also manufactured there original Thomas models for the Japanese market.

The layout shown features a double track elevated line, replicating the Bullet Train Lines, as well as a yard and several loops beneath. Most items shown were imported through online sellers, being all Japanese Trains in Origin. Several Thomas Characters from both the Australian releases and Japanese imports are on display.
