Cockroach Valley

Cockroach Valley is the latest version of the *H,O "  Australian layout developed and changed over the last 40 years by Kevin and Dot Bush.  It uses code 83 rail and NCE. DCC controls and is built on steel framework. The trestle bridge was completely scratch built based on the construction of the two trestle bridges on the Castlemaine - Maldon railway at Winters flat and Muckleford.

It was constructed using 6 mm rod as the upright poles and various sized pine for the stringers and cross bracing. The decking has over 800 individual pieces of wood and is glued to the stringers.

Bridge was constructed in 4-6 weeks . The silos were built by Gary Taylor, the layout is still under construction with changes and improvements happening all the time . Thanks to Ethan for his help.
